Our Approach:

REbound’s refrigeration cycle provides -35C cooling to commercial freezer environments while consuming 45% less electricity than conventional vapor compression systems. Retail stores need reduced freezer operating costs and the EPA needs safer refrigerants.  Currently, refrigeration accounts for up to 60% of retail store electricity costs and equipment manufactures are designing systems around toxic ammonia and high pressure, high cost CO2. Leveraging a patent-pending freeze suppression technique, REbound’s highly efficient cycle enables implementation of safer, near ambient refrigerants at a sub 3-year payback. This economic incentive can disrupt the energy-intensive vapor compression industry and capitalize on the $1.6B commercial refrigeration equipment market.
